(2004) Choreography: Pierre-Paul Savoie (Montréal)
Directed and choreographed by Pierre-Paul Savoie fuses dance and theatre through 3 distinct works – Solosansfil, Extase and Louves.
Débranché seeks to demystify the medium of dance by moving beyond a staged performance to behind the scenes, revealing the day to day realities intrinsic to the world of dance.
In part parody, in part drama but never abandoning pure dance as the predominant medium, Débranché is a collision of deceptive appearances and brutal truth, of fanfare and intimacy, of hilarity and reflection. A veritable journey through a contemporary looking glass for child and adult alike.
