CONFERENCE ON DANCE FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES

The first conference on dance for young audiences (the Colloque sur la danse dédiée aux jeunes publics) was held in Montreal on September 25 and 26, 2014. The conference was organized by two dance companies – Bouge de là and PPS Danse – and the dance department at the Université du Québec à Montréal, in collaboration with Cas public. It brought together over 100 participants, including artists, instructors and representatives of dance organizations and presenters. With so many creative and constructive discussions, it was a great success!

Videos were released at the conference of four choreographers discussing their creative inspirations when working for young audiences. The videos provide much food for thought. Watch and discover what sparked their interest in the world of children!
