Receives the RIDEAU Tour Award
It was with great pleasure that PPS Danse and Coup de coeur francophone accepted the Tour Award at the Soirée des Prix RIDEAU in Quebec City on February 20, 2014. This award was to underscore and reward the work of both co-producers “for the success of their promotional and audience development efforts during a tour,” the tour of Danse Lhasa Danse, a tribute to the work of Lhasa de Sela.
Finalist for the RIDEAU Tour Award
We would like to thank all the artists, collaborators, presenters and cultural mediation partners who helped make the 2012-2013 tour of Tales for Naughty Children such a success. Tales for Naughty Children, produced by PPS Danse in collaboration with Chartier Danse, was a finalist for the RIDEAU Tour Award.
An astonishing adaptation for children between 8 and 88 years old that combines dance, theatre and music!
A very old man, a very old woman, a mute Orator and some chairs, lots of chairs! This astonishing version of Eugène Ionesco’s play THE CHAIRS has been staged and choreographed by Pierre-Paul Savoie, based on an adaptation for children by Lise Vaillancourt. For young and old alike, this show was presented in the Cinquième Salle at Place des Arts as part of the PDA Junior series on December 14 and 15.
